Jackie & Nick – Featurette – Riviera Maya, Mexico

It’s rare that we get an opportunity to cover a destination wedding. But this past week, we had the great pleasure of joining Jackie and Nick in the Riviera Maya in hot and beautiful Mexico! We were not only honoured guests but were invited to capture every great moment spent with each of their family and friends.

After returning yesterday, we decided to present them with an edit highlighting almost every moment from beginning to end. The wedding was the primary reason for our journey but also the fun-filled excursions to the Mayan ruins paired up with an adventure tour deep in the Mexican jungle, some deep sea fishing for the boys and a relaxing catamaran trip for the girls. We also visited the infamous Coco Bongo night club and had a super rare chance to help endangered baby sea turtles get out to the ocean for the first time!

We’re so happy that we got to spend all this time with you, and hope you enjoy your video – congratulations and well done, Jackie & Nick!

Nancy and Justin SDE – Shooting stars

Our schedules can sometimes be grueling and it can get really tough on our bodies…even for a job that we are so passionate about. For Nancy & Justin, the second of our double-header wedding weekend, with no more than 3.5 hours of sleep for the entire team after working another SDE wedding the night before, we were able to keep ourselves energized for their wedding day.

Perhaps it was because of the amazing energy between the couple that kept us going, or because we hit an exhaustion high that somehow lasted us the entire day.

It was during Nancy’s speech at the reception when I realized that we picked the perfect song for their same day edit. Nancy spoke of her first kiss with Justin under a shooting star, this being the first one that she had ever seen in her entire lifetime. She also mentioned  that 5 days before their wedding day she just happened to catch another shooting star in the sky as they hung out outside a cottage. How fitting that the name of the song we chose for them would be called “Starlight”. Coincidence? I think not.

Rowena & Elmer Highlight

The union of 2 families is an important part of a marriage. Not only were Rowena and Nathan gaining a husband and a father in Elmer, but they were joining their two extra large families into one.

Family being extremely important to Row and Elm, we thought that it would be great to start from the beginning and let their parents tell us how they fell in love. They had no idea that we pulled their parents aside for this special interview and we were happy to share their stories to lead us into their highlight video.

Anna and John – Love Story

We had a pleasant, but insanely scorching hot time shooting Anna and John’s wedding this past weekend. The hot weather was unbelievable! But on top of the stunningly beautiful newly-weds and elaborately epic reception that followed was a special celebrity guest appearance by THE one and only Bob Saget, and Playboy Playmate Hope Dworaczyk! When does this ever happen!?!? Really! Cool huh?

Held at the beautiful Liberty Grand, the reception was amazing and hilarious! We loved shooting every minute of it! And it was here where we presented Anna and John’s Love Story on the big screen!…

Congrats to the newly weds, Anna and John!

kristen and richard – SDE – Love & Volleyball

Weddings are always a very exciting and momentous occasion, but putting one together usually causes a bride a lot of anxiety and stress just to get every detail absolutely perfect. For Kristen, “Ten” as she is called by her family and friends, she began her morning peacefully and calm as if it were any ordinary day.

After hearing the bad news about her limo breaking down which caused her and her team of bridesmaids to arrive at the church almost 1 hour late and even after the downpour of rain that decided to fall right as they arrived at their photo session location -something that would cause any other bride to have a meltdown, Ten was focused; she was marrying her one true love “Reach”.

Capturing couples like Ten and Reach, you can’t help but feel so humbled by how they never sweat the small stuff and hold on to what’s truly important in their lives… each other.
